South African born Comedy legend, Joe Parker, sports a career that spans three decades in the industry. His cheeky defiance of all things politically correct combined with innovative, provocative story telling, Joe Parker continues to etch himself on the memories of at least three generations of comedy lovers in our country. He has worked in London and Melbourne and is one of the few comics to have an episode of Dali Tambo's hit talk show "People of the South" devoted to him.

Since the start of his career in 1971, Joe has built up a large following among South African comedy fans. There is not a town in the country that has not enjoyed his unique talent, and his appearance at the Sun City Superbowl for Laugh Aid in 1986 stole the show. He has toured extensively since his first theatre venture in 1988, and has produced an impressive list of successful shows, including The Comedians '95 – a showcase of SA's top comedy talent, which toured the country in December 1995 and played to packed houses. More success followed in December 1996, when he wrote and produced the innovative Not The Xmas Panto in conjunction with Gilda Blacher.

It was the first adult pantomime to be staged in this country and featured a host of South Africa's top comedy talent. More recently Joe produced three more adult pantos – Jack and His Big Stalk (2003), Puss'n Boots (2004) and Rotten Hood (2005) –all sell-outs at Carnival City Casino. He produced and toured Australian comedy legend Kevin Bloody Wilson through South Africa in August 2008 and September 2010.

His comedy has always provoked comment – both positive and negative – and not a few times invoked the wrath of the press. He is talked about wherever comedy in South Africa crops up as a topic and has become something of a cult on the club circuit

HIRE JOE PARKER

South African born Comedy legend, Joe Parker, sports a career that spans three decades in the industry.

His cheeky defiance of all things politically correct combined with innovative, provocative story telling.

GRIFF has wanted to be a comedian since he was three years old where his mother use to set up the seniors in The Convalescent Homes where she worked, in an audience typesetting and let her son make sleeping and comatose old people laugh. So after working the Geriatric Circuit for a couple of summers his destiny was settled. Since then, that little funny boy with the faith of a PLANET has made a name for himself as one of the leading comedians and On-Air Personalities in the Country by headlining across North America (including Canada), New Zealand, The U.K. and Africa.

With his quick wit and unsurpassed knowledge for sports news, “GRIFF” took sports took sports to the ‘next level’ with his comedic twist on athletes and their stories. In 1999 he received Georgia’s Sportcaster of the Year Award and in 2004 “Street Skillz”, a program he provided the color commentary for was nominated for an EMMY.

Ultimately, GRIFF is a Comedian, an On-Air Personality, an Author, an Actor, a Motivational Speaker, a Daddy, an EMMY nominated Sportscaster and a man who puts Jesus Christ ahead of all men all wrapped into one.
